(Late) First Impressions/Relationship Meme... thing
Comment with your characters names and I'll tell you what Raimei thinks of them! If there's someone you'd like to have meet her, I can stalk their threads a bit, and give you a fair indication of how things would go.

Juuust Robert, I think?

To Raimei, Robert's got a lot of likeable qualities. Being smart and well-mannered are always a plus. Despite that, she still thinks he's a weird kid, in the sense that all young people should be energetic, full of gusto, etc. But then, her close friends, Miharu and Kouichi, aren't like that at all, so he reminds her of them. She does worry if Robert gets lonely, hence the incessant bothering and the pestering to go out and MAKE FRIENDS. Which is probably an issue of projection. She considered herself destined to be alone until she met Miharu, and then he called her his friend, and she was suprisingly happy about it It's made her a pretty firm believer in the idea that having friends can change a person's life for the better. She wants to share that joy, and she'll do her best to make him more receptive to it. Or die trying.

Camp doesn't really change much, and the fact he arrived after she did doesn't improve her opinion very much. And then she canon updated. By volume 8, she's a little less retarded, and more inclined to give people a chance and forgive them. This won't stop her from throwing the blame for various things happening to Miharu, but it does mean she'll listen to Thobari when he tells her to back off, instead of ignoring him and plowing forward on her own.

PIKACHU!SHUICHI!!He's automatically cool for being a friend of Miharu's, and Raimei thinks he's a really nice, normal, friendly guy; the kind of friend she'd like Miharu to have. He can match her own energy level, which she thinks is totally awesome because most of the people she knows are way more chill. Even though their hobbies aren't the same, the fact he's still dedicated to training earns him her respect. Bonus points for being a baking buddy! She loves to bake, and she's really glad he told her about the club.

She met Sharon, too. :Db
sorry this took forever. DX
Raimei supposes he's a nice enough guy. She's not really big on the education thing, so the folklorist dealio doesn't really interest her that much. On the other hand, she wants to pick his brains about it, since there are immortal beings in her world (all of two), but she's wary of telling him too much. He's obviously clever to her, and comes off kinda sneaky, and because of that she doesn't know if he's trustworthy or not. He does have some things working in his favor. The fact he's trying to find a way to help a friend resonates with her, and is something about him she respects.
Raimei and Oz had a conversation about Sharon at one point, so she was expecting to eventually run into someone super-girly, though she was assuming Sharon would be more of a damsel in distress type. Meeting her gave her a sense of "Oh. This is what a girl is supposed to act like." And Raimei wasn't sure if she could relate to someone like that, but Sharon's choice of a new pet put a spin of awesome on things, and Raimei was happily surprised and impressed. Sharon shows her it's possible to be tough without any masculine bravado, which earns her major cool points in Raimei's book. There's a definite possibility of bothering her again.

SELECTING APPROPRIATE ICON
When united in a common goal, they do pretty well together. Being the calmer of the two, he can get her to keep a level head with a good smack to the face. She appreciates the way he balances her out, as much as she protests. She'll even grudgingly concede that he can give half-decent advice. She doesn't even mind the teasing, even though she gets irritated, because it seems to give things a sense of normalcy. And in the end, he's the only one who can really relate to her when it comes to the death of their clan. The fact that he carried the burden of truth alone bugs her a lot, but she understands that he did it because he loved her. Deep down, she loves him just as much-- if not, more-- which is why being enemies is so frustrating.
