samuraimei: (And here I was starting to think)

IC: ITP parental failure [backdated to eggbaby aftermath]

[The annoying egg babies of the very blonde samurai and dragon duo have turned into something that is equally annoying.

Except now they're fluffy and have huge, soulless eyes.]

...Furbies?

Laaaaame.

As long as there's no unexpected consequences this time.

[identity profile] canihassword.livejournal.com 2010-10-11 02:00 am (UTC)(link)
None, for sure!

[Already has the tools out, let's do this]

[identity profile] bygeorgeithink.livejournal.com 2010-10-11 02:03 am (UTC)(link)
[... Do you just carry those around at all times? But yes is probably giving the first part of these instructions (http://www.phobe.com/furby/auto1.html) as to skinning the poor creature.]

Remember to take it slow so we can see everything intact.

[identity profile] canihassword.livejournal.com 2010-10-11 02:07 am (UTC)(link)
[No, I've been patiently waiting to get my revenge on the eggs.]

Right, right...

[Is being surprisingly careful!]

[identity profile] bygeorgeithink.livejournal.com 2010-10-11 02:45 am (UTC)(link)
Hmm, those ears are going to be tricky...

[identity profile] canihassword.livejournal.com 2010-10-11 03:03 am (UTC)(link)
Psh. It's fine.

[Makes short work of everything quite neatly.]

I cook a lot for myself. It's cheaper to buy things whole and prep them on your own, so knife stuff is pretty easy for me now.

That's a very useful skill! Let's try splitting the carapace then.

[identity profile] canihassword.livejournal.com 2010-10-11 03:24 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah. 'specially cause I'm by myself a lot.

Which part's the carapace?

[identity profile] bygeorgeithink.livejournal.com 2010-10-11 03:59 am (UTC)(link)
Why is that?

It's the casing that protects the insides of the chest cavity.

[Points]

[identity profile] canihassword.livejournal.com 2010-10-11 04:03 am (UTC)(link)
Kinda like a chicken ribcage? Okay.

[And cracked. Like a pro. \o/]

My village is too far from school to commute to, so I have an apartment by myself.

[identity profile] bygeorgeithink.livejournal.com 2010-10-11 04:28 am (UTC)(link)
I see, similar to the way students live while attending college.

[identity profile] canihassword.livejournal.com 2010-10-11 04:29 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, but that's not gonna be for a while. I'm still in Middle School.

What's next?

[identity profile] bygeorgeithink.livejournal.com 2010-10-11 04:34 am (UTC)(link)
I know, you get such an early start. You'll be an expert at independent living by the time you reach that age.

Ah, we try to see if we can follow where all the wires connect to so we know which mechanism is responsible for the movements and the voice recognition.

[identity profile] canihassword.livejournal.com 2010-10-11 04:44 am (UTC)(link)
[Following the various wires to motors and the itty bitty cpu]

Well, you do what you can to survive right? I didn't really have a choice.

[identity profile] bygeorgeithink.livejournal.com 2010-10-11 05:14 am (UTC)(link)
It's still quite impressive.

[identity profile] canihassword.livejournal.com 2010-10-11 05:17 am (UTC)(link)
I guess.

[shrug]

So some of the wires move the motor and the others are hooked up to a computer chip thinger.

[identity profile] bygeorgeithink.livejournal.com 2010-10-11 05:22 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, this must be what controls the memory, a smaller version of what we would find inside those laptop computers.

[identity profile] canihassword.livejournal.com 2010-10-11 05:24 am (UTC)(link)
So not as strong or fancy.

[identity profile] bygeorgeithink.livejournal.com 2010-10-11 05:26 am (UTC)(link)
I wouldn't say that. I've heard they can fit an amazing amount of data onto chips this size.

[identity profile] bygeorgeithink.livejournal.com 2010-10-11 06:19 am (UTC)(link)
I can't say. I didn't get to spend much time in the computer sciences, and what they have here is far advanced from my time. They say technology moves faster than you can blink sometimes. But it could be enough to allow them to learn from the commands they hear.

[identity profile] bygeorgeithink.livejournal.com 2010-10-11 07:03 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, we should still be able to test it with the other one.

[identity profile] canihassword.livejournal.com 2010-10-11 02:53 pm (UTC)(link)
The good thing is you wont have to feed it.

And it won't grade you at the end.

[identity profile] bygeorgeithink.livejournal.com 2010-10-12 12:43 am (UTC)(link)
I wonder what grade the Furbies stand for. I was thinking we might be a lower score for disassembling the first egg.

[identity profile] canihassword.livejournal.com 2010-10-12 06:45 am (UTC)(link)
Not as great as something we really want, but better than a vuvuzela?

...only by a little.

[identity profile] bygeorgeithink.livejournal.com 2010-10-12 11:19 pm (UTC)(link)
I would certainly rather have this.

[identity profile] canihassword.livejournal.com 2010-10-12 11:46 pm (UTC)(link)
You're welcome to both.
